Spring Has Sprung

Hello Everyone!

I am sooooo happy that spring is in the air. Before we jump off the exercise cliff, let's all remember to do a few things before, during and after our enthusiastic activities.

1. Remember to eat a heart healthy and sports nutrutional diet. Eat a balanced carbohydrate/protein meal 2-3 hours prior to any exercise or sports activity. And remember to hydrate often and keep a water bottle with you at all times.

2. Get the blood flowing and your body warm before stretching or activity. A light jog or walk, jumping jacks or doing the laundry will work nicely.

3. Easy on the stretching, and only when your body is warm.

4. During your activity, drink plenty of fluids - water or light sports drink.

5. Following your activity, again, drink plenty of fluids. Incorporate a light stretching session to finish off your activity.
